Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how StarCal handles calendar access and analytics data.
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Overview
StarCal is a calendar app that helps you view upcoming Apple Calendar events and create new events. StarCal does not require an account.
Calendar Data
StarCal requests access to Apple Calendar so it can display your events and save events you create. Calendar event titles, notes, locations, attendees, and dates are not sent to StarCal's developer servers.
Analytics
StarCal uses PostHog analytics to understand basic product usage and improve the app. Analytics may include an anonymous device or installation identifier and product interaction events such as opening the app, opening views, selecting dates, saving an event, and search query length.
StarCal does not send the text of your calendar events, event notes, event locations, or search queries to analytics. For search, StarCal only records the length of the query, not the query text.
Tracking
StarCal does not use analytics data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Third-Party Services
StarCal uses PostHog to process analytics events. PostHog may process analytics data according to its own privacy and security practices.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained only as long as needed to understand app usage, diagnose issues, and improve StarCal.
